Ripe red fruit and baked herbs in a smooth, dry, peppery red from southern France.

Minervois, in the sun-baked south of France, produces red blend wines of the same name with ripe red cherry, raspberry, Mediterranean herbs, and black olive. Silky and balanced, these wines are super food-friendly and have a convenient range of price tags.

Minervois is nestled across the varied soils of the foothills of the Montagne Noir mountain range, in the western Languedoc area of the south of France. Its Mediterranean climate results in rich yet silky balanced red blends led by the classic GSM (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre) grape combination. This distinguished wine-producing area also turns out rosé and white wines.

Fun Fact: The Minervois wine region is named after a local village called Minerve which in turn was named after the Ancient Roman goddess of justice, the arts, and wisdom. Well, they do say you’ll find this latter characteristic in a glass of wine!
